13 Days of Christmas runs through Dec. 31 at Heavenly Village
The holiday season is in full swing. Tahoe South is offering “13 Days of Christmas,” a string of activities running through Dec. 31 at Heavenly Ski Resort’s Village in South Lake Tahoe.
Have your picture taken in Santa’s Workshop Snow Globe from 2 to 7 p.m. today (Dec. 19) through Dec. 24. Also on Dec. 24, instrumental trio the Dickens Boys will perform.
After Christmas Day, live music will be offered from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 26-29 under the gondola at Heavenly Village. Here’s the lineup: Jelly Bread Dec. 26, Lavish Green Dec. 27, the Trey Stone Band Dec. 28 and Tragically White on Dec. 29.
Professional ice skaters will perform 20-minute shows starting at 7 p.m. Dec. 29 and 30 at the Heavenly Village Ice Rink.
Ice sculptures by ice-sculpting company Fear No Ice will be on display from 3 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 30 at Heavenly Village, and Fear No Ice sculptors will show their skills at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 30 on the stage next to the Heavenly Village Ice Rink.
A New Year’s celebration with ice sculpture displays, concerts, face painting, interactive games, food and beverages and snowboard simulators begins at 3 p.m. Dec. 31 in Heavenly Village. Events culminate around 9 p.m. with a Gondola Drop (a decorated, illuminated gondola car descends from the mountain) and a “midnight” countdown, followed by fireworks.
