Joe Conforte book talk set for Dec. 8

Nevada journalist David Toll will discuss his book "Breaks, Brains & Balls - The Story of Joe Conforte and Nevada's Fabulous Mustang Ranch," a 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center, 1477 U.S. 395 in Gardnerville. Before the lecture, at 6 p.m., there will be an open house showcasing holiday trees and gingerbread houses. The author lecture is organized by the Douglas County Historical Society.
