‘Red Hot Superstars’ is at Grand Sierra Resort in Reno through Dec. 31

It’s silly fun.

“Red Hot Superstars,” which runs through Dec. 31 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, features four singers impersonating five music icons — Madonna, Prince, Carrie Underwood, Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson. They belt out pop favorites from “Like a Virgin” to “Purple Rain” to “Jesus Take the Wheel” to “Poker Face” to “Billie Jean,” accompanied by a live band and dancers.

They save the big guns for the end.

“Did we forget something?” singer Little Tony, impersonating Michael Jackson, asked the audience near the end of his set on Dec. 18. Of course, the finale was the well-known and often-imitated “Thriller,” a number you just expect to see in a tribute show.

“Red Hot Superstars” is at 9 p.m. Dec. 19, 20, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 at the Grand Theatre inside the Grand Sierra Resort. Tickets cost $15, $12 children younger than 12 and seniors. Details: 775-789-2000, 800-501-2641, www.grandsierraresort.com.
