Reno-Tahoe Open

The annual Reno-Tahoe Open is enjoyed as much by the players as it is by the fans, ranking among the players' favorites stops within the PGA TOUR calendar of events. The stunning Jack Nicklaus Signature Course layout in the exclusive community of Montrêux Golf & Country Club, located between Reno and Lake Tahoe, is a gracious host to players and fans alike.

Founded in 1999, the Reno-Tahoe Open has seen its share of history-making moments. The exciting August tournament features 132 professionals competing in a 72-hole stroke play format for a purse totaling $3 million and 250 FedExCup points. International coverage on the Golf Channel broadcasts all the action on and off the fairways while simultaneously highlighting the high desert beauty of northern Nevada.

During the week-long event the private community of Montrêux opens its gates to the thousands of fans who are as delighted by the world-class golf as they are by the hospitality packages and special events scattered through the course. Fans wandering the spectacular greens will enjoy themed holes featuring food and beverages plus wine tasting stations here and there. A kid's zone is the perfect place for children to run off their energy, and the spectacular Women's Day event in 2010 was named Best of Show runner-up among all PGA TOUR special events. 2011 promises to offer even more spectacular on-site activities for attendees, including a Special Event Coalition featuring displays by the various Reno area special events, all displayed right at Montrêux Golf & Country Club throughout the Reno-Tahoe Open. There are glamorous corporate packages available, assorted vendor booths, and of course, a grand trophy ceremony befitting the tone of the entire event.

The Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation has donated $2 million to fellow nonprofits to-date with its philanthropic continuing the Nevada Military Support Alliance with military-themed activities for adults and children alike. Join us in 2011 as we attempt to earn even more for area charities.
