Rye Patch State Recreation Area Star Party Sept. 20

View Larger MapRye Patch State Recreation Area will hold its second annual Star Party on Saturday, September 20. Join amateur astronomers Jay Lawson and Adam Kremers at 9:00 p.m. at the lower overflow parking lot on the road down to the lower campground.

Lawson will bring his 16-inch and 24-inch telescopes and his expertise. There will be a number of telescopes available for viewing planets, galaxies and deep-space nebulae.

Signs will be posted with reflective arrows leading the way to the lower overflow parking lot. Please enter the parking lot with parking lights to preserve the night vision of viewers present. There is a $4.00 per vehicle entrance fee requirement.
