Volunteer to be a tour guide at the Nevada State Museum in Carson City
Learn about Nevada culture, history, geology and more in preparation to becoming a volunteer at the Nevada State Museum in Carson City. The four-day training session is Jan. 10, 11, 17 and 18 in Carson City and Dayton. Participants will tour the museum in Carson City and the Dayton Museum, will watch the documentaries “Tah Gum (Pine Nut Harvest)” and “Rabbit Boss”, and will practice conducting tours, among other activities. Volunteers, who must be at least 15 years old, are in demand, especially for school tours.
