Watch Oscar-nominated shorts in Reno

The Reno Film Festival, set to run May 1-4, 2008, will screen this year’s Oscar-nominated short films over two nights in March. As a tune-up, the festival is partnering with Truckee Meadows Community College to screen the animated nominees on March 13, and the live-action nominees on March 14.

The festival, which is in its eighth year, has been holding the annual screening of Oscar-nominated shorts for the past five years. Traditionally, the shorts were shown in one screening, but have been divided into two screenings this year due to the shorts actually being longer than in the past. Tickets can be purchased for $8 ($5 for students) for either night or $13 ($8 for students) for both nights. Ticket locations are available on the Reno Film Festival website.
