Wine Walking: the Reno Wine Walk is the third Saturday of each month. Photo by Ryan Jerz. Do you want to enjoy a sample of about 40 different types of wine? Do you want to experience downtown Reno and see what shops around the Truckee River have to offer? Then join us each month as hundreds of people come down to the Riverwalk Merchants Association Wine Walk and sip their way through a memorable afternoon. The Wine Walk is one of the highlights that summer brings to Reno. Held the third Saturday of every month from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. along the Truckee River and the surrounding areas, the Wine Walk is filled with people, attractions, shopping, eating, fun and of course, wine. With almost 40 merchants participating, visitors are promised an event they will remember. To join in on the fun, visit any participating Riverwalk merchant and with $20 and a valid ID (must be 21), you will receive a souvenir wine glass, map and an ID bracelet that will allow you to sample wines from any of the participating Riverwalk merchants. There are only seven more Wine Walks left in 2008, so attend an upcoming Wine Walk and find out what the buzz is all about. Because of the amount of people who attend the event, strollers and pets are not advised. For more information, please visit www.renoriver.org or call 775.825.WALK (9255).
