The American Motorcyclist Association event will be in Carson City for the first time this year, and 500 to 1,000 attendees are expected, according to Weidinger Public Relations. The conference will include demo rides, product displays and more.
Founded in 1924, the Ohio-based American Motorcyclist Association has about 225,700 members, about 6 percent of which are women. That number is increasing, AMA board member Maggie McNally told the Associated Press, in part by a higher profile for women on two wheels, more training opportunities and better equipment.
