These relatively undiscovered sand dunes offer an ideal recreation area for ATVs and dune buggies as well as adventurous sandboarders. Located about 15 miles east of Beatty, the BLM managed Big Dunes cover 5 square miles and tower about 500’.
Getting There: Amargosa Valley is 29 miles south of Beatty on U.S. 95. The dunes are located north of Amargosa Valley. Turn on Valley View Blvd. and drive 2 miles west to a dirt road leading to the dunes.
