For golfers seeking that classic Las Vegas golf experience, look no further than the Desert Rose Golf Course. Built in 1964 by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee, Desert Rose was one of the first golf courses in the city and still retains all the charm of its early modern design. And thanks to several million dollars in upgrades, the course is just as enjoyable today. Ideally located in the eastern part of Old Las Vegas, just minutes from the Strip, the mature and manicured 18-hole course features narrow fairways and challenging greens that are just right for the casual golfer. Desert Rose measures more than 6,500 yards from the back tees for a par of 71. The traditional layout is certainly player friendly but golfers will find an element of challenge in the design as well. The course is hallmarked by the wash that runs alongside or through every hole, posing an exciting test of skill. Carts are available, but with the lush grass transitions and shady pine trees, walking the course is part of its appeal.

Desert Rose Golf Course also has two chipping greens for those players looking to work on their short game, a driving range and practice bunker. The facility also includes a bar and grill and pro shop.
