The Las Vegas Golf Club has the distinction of being the oldest course in the Las Vegas Valley, but it has only improved with age. Originally known as simply “The Muni,” the course layout became what it is today in 1947, when nine additional holes were added to the existing nine. Established in 1945 and designed by the renowned William P. Bell, the course has recently undergone $5 million in improvements and upgrades, including a new clubhouse and course renovations. The Las Vegas Golf Club offers a classic golfing experience, promising a relaxing round on a forgiving course. The course is lightly dotted with old-growth pine and cottonwood trees along the fairways, which are nearly bunkerless and incredibly generous. Roughly 30 bunkers guard the greens, adding an element of challenge to the course, but the greens themselves are smooth and only slightly undulated. Several serene water features also come into play on a few holes.
The authentic and beloved Las Vegas Golf Club, a locals’ favorite, has hosted numerous sectional amateur tournaments, including the Las Vegas City Amateur. Enjoy a round at the one and only Las Vegas Golf Club, a true Las Vegas landmark, for an experience that’s certainly one of a kind.
