Perfectly situated in the center of six towering Sierra Nevada peaks, the 18-hole championship golf course at the Resort at Squaw Creek is the product of 10 years of planning and careful design. Robert Trent Jones, Jr., designed the course to preserve the natural wetlands and wildlife habitat so prevalent in Squaw Valley and the impressive result is a course that blends beautifully with the surrounding mountain landscape. Audubon International has acknowledged the course as a Certified Cooperative Sanctuary, and Golf Magazine has rated it as one of the “Top Ten Courses You Can Play.”

The magnificent par-71 course sits at an elevation of 6,200 feet and measures more than 6,900 yards from the tips. The links-style course at the Resort at Squaw Creek is known for its narrow fairways and creative hazards, which demand very targeted shots. The front nine holes climb the mountainside through regal trees, while the back nine winds down through the Squaw Valley wetlands dotted with tall grasses and marshes. The signature sixth hole, a par 3, is a devious over-the-water shot that features stunning views of the surrounding peaks. The course at the Resort at Squaw Creek is a challenge, but with its four sets of tees, plus family tees just 150 yards from the green, players of all abilities can enjoy an exhilarating and gorgeous round of golf.
