Built in 1907, the historic, five-story Mizpah was the state's tallest building from 1914 to 1929. It once hosted Nevada's political and mining elite, including U.S. Sen. Key Pittman and Gov. Tasker Oddie, according to the Mizpah's nomination for the National Register of Historic Places. The hotel 47 rooms, two restaurants, a casino, two saloons and — according to the Mizpah Hotel — two ghosts.
