Stop by the Wells Chamber of Commerce and pick up a brochure of the Historic District before you tour the century-old buildings. The historic main street once served as the center for business and recreation. Some of the houses in Wells were constructed of railroad ties and examples of these can be found on 8th and 9th streets.

Though the area was devastated as a result of the February 2008 earthquake, the brochure reveals the history of the buildings that remain.
