The centerpiece of the master-planned golf community of Somersett is its private country club and championship 18-hole golf course. Ranked one of Golfweek’s top residential courses, the spectacular Somersett course winds more than 7,200 yards through the high desert landscape and prestigious private residences. Designed by U.S. Open champion, World Golf Hall of Famer and Ryder Cup Caption Tom Kite in collaboration with Roy Bechtol and Randy Russell, the distinctive Somersett Country Club course incorporates no less than seven sparkling lakes, cascading waterfalls, picturesque wooden bridges, more than 60 white sand bunkers, extremely generous landing areas off its five sets of tees, and panoramic alpine views.
Members of the private club can also enjoy the Canyon Nine, a seasonal par-3, nine-hole golf course, also designed by Tom Kite. The fun course is a great place for a quick round or as a warm-up prior to the par-72 Somersett course.
Members of the private club enjoy access to the resort-style Club at Town Center, which includes pools, tennis, a fitness center, indoor basketball court and more. The future clubhouse at Somersett Country Club will be as magnificent as the course, featuring an elegant dining room, fully-stocked bar, luxurious locker rooms and lavish lounge areas. The clubhouse will be perfectly situated on a ridge that affords gorgeous views of the 18th green with a Sierra Nevada backdrop.
