The Mojave Resort Golf Club is an outstanding, daily-fee course in Laughlin that’s considered the city’s premier layout. Ingeniously designed by Schmidt-Curley, the beautiful links-style championship course features more than 80 sand bunkers, generous fairways, expansive greens and fantastic views of the surrounding mountains, wetlands and dunes. Native vegetation highlights the lush and manicured course, which stretches 6,939 yards and offers four sets of tee boxes. The player-friendly course earned four stars from Golf Digest’s “Places to Play” in 2007.
Mojave Resort is an exciting and enjoyable challenge for golfers at levels of the game, thanks to its great variety of shot opportunities. The well-designed course incorporates water on at least nine of the course’s 18 holes, including the signature 17th hole. Dubbed “The Craps Shoot” by locals, the 178-yard par 3 shoots over water with sand bunkers guarding the left, right and rear of the green. The gamble is in getting it over the water safely.
The practice area at Mojave Resort includes a grass range with target flags, a short game section with a sand bunker and a putting green. The resort also has a snack bar and lounge featuring patio seating with fantastic course views. If you’re in the Laughlin area, don’t miss Mojave Resort.
