Opened in 1987, the Painted Desert Golf Club enjoys the distinction of being one of the first desert courses in the Las Vegas Valley and it has only improved with age. The exceptional Jay Morrish-designed links-style course plays 6,840 yards from the back tees and incorporates tight, emerald green fairways, smooth greens, elevated tee boxes and strategic lakes and bunkers. With its incredible scenery and lush native vegetation, the course is as visually stunning as it is challenging. The course offers three sets of tee boxes suitable for players at all levels of the game. Painted Desert Golf Club is routinely rated as one of the most well-maintained public courses in the state and has earned a nod in Golf Digest’s “Places to Play.” The manicured, mature par-72 course at Painted Desert has played host to the Nevada Open and a few amateur events. Practice facilities are staffed by PGA professionals and include putting and chipping greens, a bunker practice area and a driving range, all conveniently located adjacent to the clubhouse and pro shop. The enjoyable experience continues with Painted Desert’s beautiful stone-walled clubhouse, which houses a large, circular bar with raised ceilings, a fireplace and spectacular course views. For golfers in the area, Painted Desert Golf Club is without a doubt a must-play course.
