The Wynn Golf and Country Club is nothing short of spectacular. The finely-woven tapestry of cascading waterfalls, meandering streams, marshland and mature, salvaged trees – some more than 50 years old – winds around the manicured fairways and greens, creating an intimate and secluded atmosphere that’s truly refreshing. And considering that the first tee is just steps from the lobby doors, it’s downright incredible. The 18-hole, par-70 course was expertly designed by Tom Fazio and Steve Wynn and is located on the same land as the former Desert Inn Golf Club, host of many PGA, LPGA and Senior PGA events. Fazio shifted over 800,000 cubic yards of earth to create the dramatic elevation changes – a feat many would have deemed impossible on the Las Vegas Strip. And with the addition of more than 100,000 shrubs and 4,800 trees, the famed golf course designer created a wooded haven in the middle of Las Vegas. Open exclusively to guests at the hotel, the incredible and demanding layout rewards patience, strategy and concentration.
The Wynn Golf and Country Club is completely integrated into the magnificent hotel, so the amenities are truly incredible. The clubhouse lounge has a country club feel, offering luxurious locker rooms and a majestic pro shop. Practice facilities at Wynn include a short game area, two putting greens and a full swing warm-up area.
