Art show and sale: July 20, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and July 21, 12 noon - 3 p.m.
The show benefits Nevada Land Trust, a non-profit organization whose mission is the conservation of Nevada’s open spaces and special places.
From November to June, participants were invited to hosted events at various Nevada Land Trust project sites. Now you can experience these wonderful places through the eyes of Nevada’s artists. Support Nevada land conservation and enjoy Nevada’s outback at the Wilbur D. May Museum, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park.
kids (ages 5 and up) participate in one of two 1 hour “paint-in” sessions at Rancho San Rafael Park, July 19, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
In concert with Open Spaces and Special Places art show at the Wilbur May Museum, join Nevada Land Trust and Washoe County Regional Parks.
Meet at the entrance to the museum to begin your artistic adventure at either 10 a.m. or 12 p.m. so your child can create their own art of conservation.
Supplies will be provided; advance reservations required (call Nevada Land Trust at 851-5180). Groups will be assigned by age. Parent/guardian participation is required. A special tour of the benefit art show Open Spaces and Special Places will be held after the plein air event for the children and their parents.
