An elegant evening of chamber music

RCO musicians James Winn, Ruth Lenz, Carol Laube, Dustin Budish, Paran Amirinazari, John Lenz, and Peter Lenz will perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 12 in A major, K. 414 (“a quattro”) and the String Sextet No. 1 in B-flat major, Op. 18 by Brahms in the Museum’s Wayne and Miriam Prim Theater. The 7:00 concert will be followed by champagne and desserts from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m., during which time you’ll have a chance to visit with the musicians and your fellow RCO enthusiasts.

You are also invited to come early, as your ticket to An Elegant Evening of Chamber Music includes admission to the Nevada Museum of Art and its exhibitions, including “A Real Van Gogh?: An Unsolved Art World Mystery” and “Voces y Visiones: Highlights from the Collection of El Museo del Barrio, New York.” The galleries will be open for Elegant Evening attendees starting at 5:45 p.m.

Tickets are $80 per person ($60 of which is a tax-deductible contribution to the RCO). Seating is limited, and reservations must be received by Friday, June 21. Proceeds from the event benefit the Reno Chamber Orchestra.

You’re invited to join Artistic Director and violist Theodore Kuchar, Grammy-nominated violinist James Buswell, and Reno Chamber Orchestra musicians Rong-Huey Liu (oboe), Ruth Lenz (violin), Carol Laube (violin), Peter Lenz (cello), and Scott Faulkner (double bass) for an afternoon of chamber music as part of Artown. These stunning artists represent the internationally renowned Nevada Chamber Music Festival, presented by Reno Chamber Orchestra. The performance will feature Bach’s Concerto for Oboe and Violin as well as music by Britten, Rolla, and Dvorák. Admission is free, and no advance tickets are needed.
