Reno - Wild & Scenic Film Festival

The Film Festivals lineup of movies includes “A Skier’s Journey,” documenting an exhilarating ski trip to Argentina; “Connecting the Gems,” a 520-mile hike through one of the Northern Rockies’ premiere wildlife corridors; and “The Mono Lake Story,” which documents how a plucky group of conservationists defeated Los Angeles’ plan to drain the lake.

Live music is provided along with refreshments, environmental displays, free swag and raffle tickets sold for cool products from Osprey, Patagonia and other outdoor retailers.

Doors open:  6 p.m and the films start at 7 p.m.

Location: The Grove  - located at 95 Foothill Road on the corner of South Virginia Street and Foothill Road, in South Reno.

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is a fundraiser for the Nevada Wilderness Project. NWP  has been protecting the wild places of Nevada since 1999, working for wildlife habitat conservation and wild lands preservation.
