The Tahoe-Pyramid Bikeway is a vision of following the Truckee River by foot or by bicycle from its source at forested Lake Tahoe to its desert terminus, Pyramid Lake.  The route will descend over 2000 feet in 116 miles, using a combination of exisitng dirt and paved roads, plus some sections of new trail and bridges.  (See website to view future sections)
April 21:  Annual ride through the McCarran Ranch river restoration project.  Depart from Mustang Trailhead at 10:00.
May 5:  Annual "Cookie Ride" from Idlewild Park in Reno to Verdi.  This is a 25-40 mile road bike ride, free, 10:00 start time.
June 2:  National Trails Day:  Grand Opening of Fleish Bridge, just upstream of Verdi.  Hike and bike options to the site.  10:00 am at Crystal Peak Park, Verdi.
Oct 19:  "Ride the Rez" at Pyramid Lake.  Mountain bike ride starting at Natchez School in Wadsworth.  (note the Tribe may have given you the wrong date for this).
