128 East Fremont St.
Las Vegas 89101
The legendary Benny Binion is gone, but the bronze statue of him on horseback stands as a testament to his unwavering devotion to three Western traditions - "individuality, fairness and a good gamble." The Binion's new owner, MTR Gaming Group, aims to carry on that tradition and then some, with hopes of building a brand-new era for the old gambling hall.
The 87,000-square-foot casino has a variety of fast-paced action, with more than 40 single-deck blackjack tables, slots galore, poker room, plus a large race and sports book.
Good steak is another Binion's tradition, whether it's the Ranch Steakhouse, a stylish penthouse restaurant on the 24th floor with a great view of the Las Vegas skyline, or the late-night steak-and-eggs special in the Original Coffee Shop.
There are two free shows: the Fremont Street Experience, right outside the door; and Boomers Lounge, with a live DJ playing music Thursdays through Sundays 8pm - midnight.
