CARSON CITY — Nevada Tourism is hoping travelers en route to Burning Man will yell “Hallelujah!” when they see the tourism division’s welcome stations on Interstate 80 and Highway 395 on Aug. 27-28.

Tents will be set up outside Boomtown Reno and Walmart in Gardnerville to welcome Burners to the Silver State and send them on their way a little more prepared for their time in the Black Rock Desert. The Hallelujah Stations will be stocked with collapsible water bottles, wet wipes, reusable bags, Nevada travel guides, and Nevada state maps.

CARSON CITY, Nev. - The Nevada Commission on Tourism (NCOT) along with Gov. Brian Sandoval today encouraged Nevadans to “Discover Your Nevada” through a summer travel campaign designed to educate residents about the state’s unique treasures and, ultimately, plan a Nevada getaway.

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Commission on Tourism (NCOT) has awarded $985,146 in grant funding for projects throughout rural Nevada designed to increase travel to those areas, Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki announced Wednesday at the commission's quarterly meeting. Among the unique proposals approved by the commission are a social media “selfie” scavenger hunt contest in the state’s central/southern region as well as a project to promote the ParaLong Drive World golf tournament for golfers with disabilities.
