Jarbidge River TrailAdd to my Trip Planner
Type: Horseback riding
The first four miles take you through aspen and conifer stands. One fork follows Mary’s River while the other takes you to Jarbidge Lake. Jarbidge Lake Trail crosses over the Jarbidge Range through Emerald Pass (1/2 mile). Traveling another 1.5 miles after the pass brings you to Emerald Lake, which offers Brook Trout.
Getting There: From Elko, go north on Mountain City Highway (State Route 225). Take Charleston Rd. east to Charleston Reservoir then proceed on to Jarbidge. Trailers not advised for the last two miles into Jarbidge. Trailhead begins at Pine Creek Campground. For paved roads into Jarbidge take I-80 east of Elko to Wells then take Hwy. 93 north into Idaho. Head east at Rogerson, Idaho on a paved road that leads into Jarbidge.
