Launched in October 2008, NVski.mobi was the first mobile website specifically designed for mobile web. Since then we have launched two additional mobile websites NVroads.mobi and NV.mobi. Nevada was the first to be issued a two character domain NV.mobi from the .mobi domain registrars in April 2009. Nevada along with other major companies such as Bank of America and American Express have embraced the .mobi domain to signify a site designed for mobile phones.

What is .mobi?

Much like how a ".com" site is to the personal computer Internet realm, a ".mobi" (pronounced "dot-moe-bee") extension implies that a site is specifically optimized for use on a mobile device - like your mobile phone. The .mobi top-level domain was approved by ICANN on July 11, 2005 and the first domain was released on September 26, 2006. NV.mobi, NVski.mobi and NVroads.mobi were developed to provide quick and accurate information for those on the go.
