Tonopah Brewing Company

The motto here is “Greatness is born from Blood, Sweat, and Beers!” We’ll raise a glass to that, Tonopah! This local brewing company draws visitors off the Free-Range Art Highway for smoked meats, barbecued treats, and an impressive lineup of brews. Spearheaded by owners Fred and Nancy Cline, Tonopah Brewing Company opened its doors in summer of 2014 and has been a popular hangout for visitors and locals alike ever since, offering up a savory lineup of slow-smoked barbecue and ice cold craft beer—all made with a nod to the Queen of the Silver Camp’s history.

Also owners of the iconic and wildly successful 108 year-old Mizpah and Belvada Hotels—and the visionaries behind their massive restoration efforts—the Clines founded several prosperous wineries in northern California, so this wasn’t their first rodeo. Bringing in custom-made brewing equipment from Bavaria enabled this Tonopah Brewery to create beers in a traditional fashion that remains true to the original beer making processes.

Serving up savory slow-smoked barbeque, visitors can get their hands on a slab of Southern-style ribs, juicy beef brisket, and plenty of other tasty treats—all complemented by Tonopah Brewing Company’s mouthwatering original house sauces. And what compliments a heaping pile of crazy-delicious barbeque better than some mighty fine beer selections? The roster has all the staples of a great microbrewery: hefeweizen, pilsner, pale ale, IPA, an Irish red, and seasonal offerings. For those who are uninterested in the alcoholic libations, not to worry…simply order up a round of house-made soda (start with the root beer).
