Ready to ride one of the best maintained singletrack trails in northern Nevada? Situated a few minutes south of Battle Mountain and Nevada Highway 305, the Copper Basin Mountain Bike Trail offers 11.1 miles of trail made from existing two-tracks and singletrack trail developed in 2002. Created through a partnership between Newmont Mining Company, Lander County, and Nevada Bureau of Land Management (BLM) the mountain biking trails at Copper Mountain consist of four loops catering to all riding abilities and skill sets.

Minutes from Battle Mountain, ride 11 miles of single and double track trails with technical and aerobatic challenges amid steep climbs and fast technical descents that wind through historic mining areas, sagebrush covered canyons, and rocky ridge tops along the northern Nevada Battle Mountain range.

Whether you’re looking for a quick, one-hour ride or a weekend-long excursion, the Copper Basin Mountain Bike Trail system offers something for every rider. Ahead of your visit, stop by the BLM Battle Mountain Field office for a brochure detailing the trail system, along with complete descriptions of all four trails, including length, skill level, elevation gain, technicality, and distance.

The Copper Basin Mountain Bike Trail can be accessed off Highway 305, south of Battle Mountain, NV. Keep an eye out for a free parking area located on the right (west) side of the highway near mile marker 115. Copper Basin trails are rideable year round, depending on seasonal snowfall and precipitation. When planning your trip to northern Nevada, take advantage of some of the best seasonal riding conditions in late spring, summer, and early fall.
