Jack Longstreet, un aut\u00e9ntico pistolero, colono, minero y jugador del Viejo Oeste, vivi\u00f3 en el valle de Amargosa durante la d\u00e9cada de 1880 y se refugi\u00f3 por completo en medio de algunos asuntos sin resolver. Se cuenta que vivi\u00f3 cerca de la reserva ind\u00edgena de Moapa e incluso tuvo un bar en St. Thomas, ahora inundado, antes de dirigirse a Ash Meadows.
