A s\u00f3lo ocho millas al sur de Silver Springs y ubicado a lo largo de la <a href=\"https:\/\/travelnevada.com\/road-trips\/free-range-art-highway\/\">Autopista del arte en libertad<\/a> Los visitantes pueden acceder f\u00e1cilmente a este sitio hist\u00f3rico de la d\u00e9cada de 1860. El cielo es el l\u00edmite a la hora de imaginar c\u00f3mo debe haber sido la vida en el Fuerte y en la Estaci\u00f3n Buckland hace m\u00e1s de 150 a\u00f1os, durante una \u00e9poca en la que el fuerte estaba en pleno apogeo, protegiendo a los primeros colonos y a los jinetes del Pony Express de los llamados indios americanos &amp;quot;hostiles&amp;quot;. Buckland, nativo de Ohio, lleg\u00f3 a esta zona para comenzar a cultivar ganado a lo largo del r\u00edo Carson. La Ruta Central Overland pasaba cerca, y su rancho pronto lleg\u00f3 a ser conocido como un lugar de descanso integral para los primeros pioneros. Cuando Buckland apareci\u00f3 para construir una caba\u00f1a de troncos para su familia, Fort Churchill ya hab\u00eda sido abandonado y estaba en proceso de ser desmantelado. La estaci\u00f3n ahora funciona como museo y sirve como recordatorio del esp\u00edritu trabajador de los primeros pioneros de Nevada.<\/p>\n\n<p>Aunque las ruinas del cercano Parque Estatal Fort Churchill han estado b\u00e1sicamente en un estado de decadencia detenida durante casi 150 a\u00f1os, las Hijas de la Revoluci\u00f3n Americana se interesaron en el \u00e1rea y en 1932 lograron que 200 acres fueran transferidos al estado.
