Sentado en el fondo de la hermosa Bah\u00eda Esmeralda hay un verdadero castillo: el Castillo de Vikingsholm. Construida en 1929 por la Sra. Lora Josephine Knight como casa de verano, esta mansi\u00f3n de 38 habitaciones se considera un ejemplo destacado de la arquitectura escandinava en los EE. UU.\u00a0 Emerald Bay le record\u00f3 los fiordos que hab\u00eda visto en numerosos viajes a Escandinavia y, cuando planeaban construir su castillo, Knight y su arquitecto hicieron varios viajes a Noruega, Suecia, Dinamarca y Finlandia.
