Acampe entre la hierba y las gencianas de los prados glaciares, en rincones escarpados.<\/p><cite>Juan Muir<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n<p>Con una extensi\u00f3n impresionante de 63.960 acres de bosque subalpino y alpino, picos de granito y valles y lagos formados por glaciares, esta \u00e1rea silvestre protegida fue establecida en 1899 como parte del Bosque Nacional Eldorado. Hoy en d\u00eda, es una de las \u00e1reas de recreaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica m\u00e1s hermosas y m\u00e1s visitadas de la cuenca del lago Tahoe y el oeste de los Estados Unidos, y ofrece espectaculares caminatas de un d\u00eda, campamentos nocturnos y viajes de mochilero de varios d\u00edas en las monta\u00f1as del este de Sierra Nevada. Si bien Desolation Wilderness ofrece paisajes espectaculares en cualquier \u00e9poca del a\u00f1o, el mejor momento para acceder es desde mediados del verano hasta principios del oto\u00f1o. S\u00f3lo los amantes de la naturaleza con experiencia en actividades al aire libre deber\u00edan intentar recorrer la zona durante los meses de invierno.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Excursiones de un d\u00eda en Desolation Wilderness y acampada nocturna&amp; Mochilero<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Debido a que Desolation Wilderness es un \u00e1rea recreativa tan popular, el acceso humano es limitado y ciertas actividades est\u00e1n restringidas en su interior. Para regular el tr\u00e1fico y proteger esta hermosa \u00e1rea silvestre, se ha implementado un sistema de cuotas basado en la cantidad de personas que ingresan al \u00e1rea silvestre cada d\u00eda y la zona de destino de su primera noche, lo que limita el uso nocturno desde el viernes anterior al D\u00eda de los Ca\u00eddos hasta el 30 de septiembre de cada a\u00f1o.
