DESCRIPTION:The Black Rock Desert may be known as the home of Burning Man\, but that famous celebration of art and self-expression is far from the only thing this iconic landscape has in store. \n\n\n\nEach Memorial Day weekend\, Black Rock Rendezvous brings together explorers\, history buffs\, and public lands stewards for a campout on the playa just beyond the eclectic town of Gerlach. Hosted by Stewards of the Black Rock Desert and Friends of Black Rock-High Rock\, this annual gathering blends hands-on learning with off-the-grid adventure\, including visits to historic emigrant trails\, hot springs\, and other surprises across this diverse corner of Nevada. \n\n\n\nCamp\, explore\, and connect during a multi-day desert gathering focused on stewardship\, history\, and wide-open adventure in the Black Rock Desert. \n\n\n\nGroup meals\, a Dutch oven cookoff\, and evening campfire talks bring everyone together. Live music and storytelling also unfold under some of the darkest skies in the country.  \n\n\n\nBlack Rock Rendezvous puts stewardship front and center. Leave No Trace principles guide the weekend\, with attendees working together to care for the landscape. On a tour\, swapping stories around the fire\, or catching a playa sunrise\, the experience offers a deeper connection to one of Nevada’s most remote wild places—as well as the people who help protect it.
