DESCRIPTION:Discover some of the last true dark skies in America at the annual Fall Star Party at Cathedral Gorge State Park. Hosted in partnership with the Las Vegas Astronomical Society and Nevada State Parks\, these two exciting evenings of astronomy talks\, stargazing with high-powered telescopes\, and unbeatable astrophotography opportunities are fun for the entire family. \n\n\n\nReady to partake in some of the best stargazing in the Lower 48? Get those eyes on the skies at Cathedral Gorge State Park\, where professional and amateur astronomers alike gather under some of the last true dark skies out there. \n\n\n\nThe Fall Star Party kicks off at sundown from the group-use campground at Cathedral Gorge State Park\, which is located along the Great Basin Highway road trip between Pioche and Caliente. Pack plenty of layers to stay as comfortable as possible with rapidly changing temperatures between afternoon and evening hours\, along with red flashlights and headlamps to preserve night vision for optimal stargazing conditions.  \n\n\n\nEntry to Cathedral Gorge State Park is $5 per Nevada vehicle and $10 per non-Nevadan vehicles.
