Each fall, thousands of visitors and locals alike head for southwestern Nevada for an unforgettable weekend at one of the Pahrump Valley’s most celebrated annual events—the Pahrump Balloon Festival. At the start of this three-day event, more than 20 balloons (many of which have never sailed Nevada skies) will launch at dawn from downtown Pahrump, offering a Glow Show, tethered hot air balloon rides, all kinds of live music and entertainment, a classic car show, cornhole and horseshoe tournaments, more than 150 food and drink vendors, golfing, winery tours, and more.
Held each November, the Pahrump Balloon Festival is open to the public with complimentary entry to the park. Best yet, sail southern Nevada’s skies and book a hot air balloon flight with the pros! Balloon flights will likely sell out, so be sure to make advanced reservations to ensure your spot at (702) 300-4008. Pahrump is situated a quick 45 minutes from Las Vegas, and the gateway community to Death Valley National Park. Best yet, the timing of the event is no accident—a visit to southwestern Nevada in late fall offers up ideal temperatures and boundless exploration along the Death Valley Rally road trip.
Tethered balloon rides $10, and visitors can also purchase a $25 VIP Field Pass that offers an up close view of the illuminated balloons during Friday and Saturday glow shows.
