Each spring, thousands of visitors and locals alike head for southwestern Nevada for an unforgettable weekend at one of the Pahrump Valley’s most celebrated annual events—the Pahrump Balloon Festival. At the start of this four-day event, more than 20 balloons will launch at dawn from downtown Pahrump, including a Glow Show, tethered hot air balloon rides, carnival with rides for the whole fam, all kinds of live music and entertainment, a classic car show, food and drink vendors, a rodeo, golfing, winery tours, and more.
Typically held in late April to early May each year, the Pahrump Balloon Festival is open to the public with complimentary entry to the park. Pahrump is situated a quick 45 minutes from Las Vegas, and the gateway community to Death Valley National Park. Best yet, the timing of the event is no accident—a visit to southwestern Nevada in late spring offers up ideal temperatures and boundless exploration along the Death Valley Rally road trip.
Tethered balloon rides are $10 per person, and visitors can also purchase a $25 VIP Field Pass that offers an up close view of the illuminated balloons during Friday and Saturday glow shows. Carnival tickets are $20 per person ahead of time, and $25 at the gate/day of.
