Held at the White Pine County Fairgrounds\, this annual event draws visitors from around the region for a weekend of fast horses\, local flavor\, and classic eastern Nevada community spirit. \n\n\n\nLive horse racing\, county fair fun\, and high-desert tradition make this Ely event a sure bet for summertime excitement. \n\n\n\nFeaturing thoroughbreds and quarter horses\, the White Pine Horse Races have been part of the Ely events scene for generations. Pari-mutuel betting adds another layer of excitement\, with wagers pooled among bettors and payouts determined by the final odds. \n\n\n\nAlong with the races\, the weekend includes the White Pine County Fair\, complete with 4-H exhibits\, livestock auctions\, barbeque\, and live music\, a bar\, and plenty of reasons to linger at the fairgrounds between post times.
