California Trail Days
June 13 @ 7:00 am - June 14 @ 1:00 pm
Between 1841 and 1869, as many as 250,000 people sold their belongings, packed wagons, and set out for California.
Learn the stories of the pioneers who endured the 2,000-mile journey; some seeking land, some gold, others seeking adventure, and some for reasons we may never know.
Discover, in their words, adventure half a continent wide!
At the California Trail Interpretive Center in Elko, California Trail Days brings an 1850 Wagon Encampment and Shoshone Summer Camp to life with historic displays, special presentations, and more!
Young visitors can learn how to shoot a bow, pan for gold, play pioneer games, and much more. It’s fun for the whole family and FREE for everyone.
Directions: Located just off Interstate 80, two miles north of the west end of the Hastings Cutoff and two miles East of the Greenhorn Cutoff on the California Trail; eight miles west of Elko, NV.
