Ride Around the Rubies
June 20, 2020 @ 3:00 am – 2:00 pm
Ride Around the Rubies has been cancelled in 2020. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2021!
Join us during the summer solstice, June 20, for Ride Around the Rubies, a spectacular gravel grinder circling the awesome Ruby Mountains on the longest day of the year!
This one-day “gravel ride” cycling event begins and ends in scenic Lamoille, taking cyclists around the mighty Rubies over their choice of a 40, 66, or full 118-mile loop on pavement, gravel, and dirt roads.
Proceeds from Ride Around the Rubies support youth leadership development, exchange programs, local and global community improvement projects, and programs that encourage healthy behaviors and inspirational service to others.
Gravel riding—also known as gravel grinding or adventure riding—is a form of cycling that combines road and mountain bike terrain. Courses are mostly distance rides over unpaved roads and take the sport of cycling to the next level with exhilarating discoveries.
There’s just something about that awesome feeling when the gravel is smooth under blue skies and skirting green grasses full of the fragrances of Summer.
And not a car in sight!
What’s your jam? Do you want to race or just ride? Pedaling a cross bike, gravel bike or mountain bike? Long, short or medium distances? Choose your wheels, your path and your groove at Ride Around the Rubies!
