NEVADA INSIDER: John Wright | Guardian of Tradition

Growing up in Elko, John Wright wanted to be a rodeo cowboy, store owner and rancher, just like his grandfather. At 36, he has achieved those goals and runs the family business, J.M. Capriola Co., a Western gear store in downtown Elko. Dating back to 1929, Capriola’s still makes saddles and other leather items by hand on the shop’s second floor – a tradition Wright is proud to continue. He is also one of the driving forces behind the Cowboy Arts and Gear Museum, a few doors down from Capriola’s. Click to listen why its important for Wright to remain a Guardian of Tradition. #DFMI
