Since opening for business in 2004, Desert Adventures has been the outfitter to get you into a kayak on the Mighty Colorado River’s Black Canyon Water Trail, biking through Lake Mead’s Historic Railroad Tunnels, or even to set you up with all the camping gear you need to for exploring the mystique of the alluring Mojave Desert or a night on the banks of the Colorado River.

Black Canyon Water Trail

Get on a guided one-day kayak tour down the Black Canyon Water Trail, from Hoover Dam to Willow Beach, or make a night of it on a two-day, all-inclusive trip with a campout at Ringbolt Hot Springs. Prefer a little DIY river action? Rent kayaks or canoes, get the details from an experienced guide, and hit the water trail on your own time.

Adventure Tours and Rentals

As a premium full-blown adventure company you can also rely on their in-house team of well-trained guides to answer questions and lead adventures for a handful of different recreational pursuits. From hiking and backpacking to mountain-biking, ziplining, and even adventures in Valley of Fire State Park and nearby Utah national parks, it’s safe to say Desert Adventures has got you covered if it’s outdoor recreation you’re after. 

Desert Adventures Retail Shop

Desert Adventures still focuses on paddling as their main specialty, with over 200 boats in the rental fleet. Their retail store also sells performance sea kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddle boards, as well as paddles, PFDs, and accessories to outfit your entire trip. Camping equipment for rent includes sleeping bags, stoves, tents, coolers, and mess kits so you don’t have to worry about packing it on your flight to Vegas.

Getting There

Located in downtown Boulder City, Desert Adventures is headquartered only 30 minutes from the Las Vegas metropolitan area. From Las Vegas, take US 95/93 south toward Boulder City and Phoenix. You will continue through Veterans Memorial stoplight, going straight. Once you enter Boulder City, watch for the Rebel Gas Station on your right hand side (it’s the first gas station in town, so be careful not to “fly” right by). They are located just east of the Rebel Gas Station, in the Red Mountain Plaza, next to Roberto’s Taco Shop.
