Elko Cosmic Con
Suit up, power up, and head to Elko for Elko Cosmic Con, a pop culture celebration at the Elko Convention Center. Fans of comics, movies, animation, video games, cosplay, and collectibles can gather for a weekend of vendors, panels, workshops, special guests, and all-ages fandom fun.
Cosplay, vendors, celebrity guests, and pop culture fandom take over the Elko Convention Center for this northeast Nevada convention.
Visitors can browse vendor booths, meet fellow fans, check out panel discussions, and take part in workshops. The cosplay contest is one of the weekend’s signature draws, giving makers, character fans, and first-time cosplayers a chance to show off their work. Celebrity guests will also host meet-and-greets.
Round out your trip with more time in Elko, where downtown restaurants, Basque dining, museums, murals, and nearby Ruby Mountain scenery make it easy to turn convention weekend into a full northeastern Nevada getaway.
Elko Cosmic Con runs from noon to 8 p.m. on Aug. 8 and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 9. A suggested donation of $5 per person or $20 per family gets you in the door. Autographs or photos with celebrity guests often involve a separate fee set by those individuals.
