Paying homage to Jesse Reno—Reno’s namesake—The Jesse is an independently owned, urban boutique hotel with a locally loved bar and restaurant located in the heart of the Biggest Little City. With six contemporary rooms reimagined with a historical flair, a modern cocktail menu, and a vibrant and welcoming Mediterranean eatery inspired by Greek and Turkish flavors, The Jesse brings unconventional culture to its historic building. 

And how appropriate: The Jesse isn’t the first hotel to occupy the brick building. Opened in 1907 at this very location, The Royal Hotel went through a series of different owners and name changes in the decades following, though it persevered as a hotel and temporary refuge for folks drawn to Reno in search of a quickie divorce. It finally transformed back into a hotel as The Jesse Hotel & Bar in 2018.

The bar at the Jesse is open to both hotel guests and anyone looking to grab a refined craft cocktail while exploring downtown Reno’s ever-changing urban environment. Grab seasonal craft cocktails, beer, and wine, or drop in for a coffee or espresso and pastries in the morning. 

The Jesse’s restaurant combines Mediterranean flavors, serving Greek- and Turkish-inspired shared plates. Dishes include crispy potato chips, house-made hummus, grilled kofte, and shrimp, all crafted with fresh ingredients and bold, honest flavor. 

Parking & Getting There

The Jesse’s parking lot is conveniently located directly adjacent to the hotel on East 4th Street near the Freight House District and Greater Nevada Field in downtown Reno. Parking is for overnight hotel guests and patrons of the bar and restaurant.
