Nestled in the foothills of the spectacular Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, limitless adventure awaits in this Blue Diamond-side valley, with access to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, and an exciting lineup of other trailheads systems nearby. Managed by the Nevada Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the trails here are recognized by the International Mountain Bicycling Association as a “Backyard to Backcountry” treasure, offering up world-class riding experience minutes from the Las Vegas metro area.
The network of trails found here offers a chance to ride a big lineup of loops, with a range of trails suited for beginners, advanced riders, and everyone in between. Characterized by hard-packed soils, every trail within the Cottonwood Valley Trails System winds through stunning Joshua Tree forests carved by wild horses in the Mojave Desert. Discover small ledgy drops across various trail grades and varying elevation changes throughout the trails here. The Red Rock Canyon area offers several more options, especially for advanced riders who can look down on the town of Blue Diamond from above. If you’re after an easy pace with great views, jump on the paved Red Rock Canyon Scenic Tour that passes through ancient sandstone within the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
Hours:
