Situated in the heart of the quiet, crossroads community of Fernley, stop by for a classic Americana diner fix before exploring nearby Pyramid Lake, or setting off on the Free-Range Highway Road Trip. This roadside diner has been part of the Fernley scene for man years, offering a menu that brims with breakfast faves served all day, along with fresh burgers, sandwiches and wraps, juicy steaks, towering pasta entrees, and decadent homemade pies and milkshakes.

Whether you’re fueling up to hit the road or capping off a great road trip with a satisfying meal, sink into cozy leather booths and order up can’t-go-wrong entrees among the locals, with tried-and-true friendly service. While you’re waiting on your fresh, made-to-order food to be prepared, hit the slots at the on-site casino, or peruse the collection of American Indian artifacts on display throughout the restaurant.

Wigwam Museum

While you wait for a table, be sure to check out the small, on-site museum featuring a vast selection of American Indian artifacts from Nevada’s Northern Paiute Tribes. Here, visitors will find arrowheads, ancient stone tools, intricate beadwork and expertly woven baskets. The collection also includes Kachina dolls—religious icons created by the Hopi Indians in northeastern Arizona—carved from cottonwood root and painted to depict mythological figures.
