Cordillera International Film Festival

For five unforgettable days each fall, the Cordillera International Film Festival transforms the Reno‑Tahoe region into a creative nexus for filmmakers and film lovers alike. Now in its ninth year, Cordillera has earned recognition as one of the “Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World” by MovieMaker Magazine.

Set across premier screens and venues throughout Reno‑Tahoe, the Cordillera International Film Festival features 150+ official film selections from over 4,000 submissions representing 83 countries, alongside celebrity panels, glamorous red carpet premieres, evening parties, screenplay table reads, PitchFest!, and in-depth filmmaker Q&As.

Early festivities begin on Oct. 1 with a special kickoff event, building anticipation for a packed program that runs through Oct. 5. True to its name, PitchFest! offers filmmakers the chance to pitch directly to jury members for a shot at a $175K production prize package.

Cordillera supports filmmakers: All official selections receive hosted lodging, access to a filmmaker lounge with meals, snacks, drinks, and a wine and beer bar. A post-festival VIP day (“5th Day Fun”) invites selected filmmakers on an all-expenses-covered day of exploration in local mountains and lakes.
