The arts of Nevada’s capital city take center stage at the Jazz & Beyond Music Festival, a 10-day celebration of community creativity in Carson City. Presented by the Mile High Jazz Band Association, this annual festival fills venues across town with free concerts and activities each August, all set near the eastern Sierra and the Kit Carson Trail.

Free concerts, art, and community events bring big band, Latin jazz, blues, country, swing, and more to venues throughout Nevada’s capital city.

The Jazz & Beyond Festival showcases northwestern Nevada’s vibrant arts community with performances that stretch well beyond traditional jazz. Festival-goers can catch big band, jazz combos, Latin jazz, blues, country, swing, folk, and other styles at indoor and outdoor venues throughout Carson City.
