What better way to get to know North Lake Tahoe’s world-renowned mountain resort lifestyle than through a 10-day, 40-years-and-running, top annual event? Load up the car with friends and family to check out the locally beloved Snowfest, held in both Tahoe City and Kings Beach. With an ethos to promote Tahoe’s top-notch weather and prime skiing conditions in early March, celebrate winter and life in the High Sierra on and off the mountain through an array of iconic resort properties, vibrant lakeside neighborhoods, and beyond.
A deep-rooted community and tourism event part of the Lake Tahoe scene since 1982, Snowfest is made up of more than 40 events across 10 days. Get in on fireworks, parades, pancake breakfasts, live music and concerts, bar parties, ski races, ice sculpture competitions, a polar bear swim, a snow golf tournament, and much more. Admission varies based on event—many events are free, and others require a purchased ticket.
