Originally from New York, owner Steve Cordes grew up working at a Staten Island soda fountain where he learned how to make delicious homemade ice cream. After playing tourist in Reno and the surrounding northern Nevada with his family, he decided to move west and opened Steve’s Homemade Ice Cream in the heart of Fernley—just 20 minutes from the Biggest Little City in the World.

As the only ice cream shop in Fernley, choose from seasonal specialty ice cream flavors, Italian Ices served during the spring and summer, or pumpkin, brownie batter, cake batter, and eggnog flavors available during the winter.
