Sundance Books and Music

A gathering space for readers, listeners, writers and friends, the radiant Sundance Books & Music has been part of the Biggest Little City story for more than 30 years. Situated between Reno’s Midtown District and Downtown Reno, Sundance Bookstore is located within the historic Levy Mansion. In partnership with Nevada Humanities, this local bookstore is a great way to learn more about the Silver State through a hand-curated Nevada section, and get to know Reno’s local community through readings, book signings, and other literary and musical events throughout the year.

A gathering space for readers, listeners, writers and friends, there’s no better way to get to know the spirit of the Silver State one page at a time than at this local bookstore right in the heart of Downtown Reno.

Once home to the Levy family, this historic, two-story Classic Revival-style home was first built in 1906, benchmarking Levy’s wild mining successes in Unionville.  Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, this historic mansion now brims with new, used and rare books of all genres. Peruse staff picks, new releases, and poetry recommendations, and get the lowdown on an impressive lineup of regular events hosting local and visiting authors alike. While you’re here, be sure to take a look at monthly music pics in the downstairs vinyl section, check out a great selection of cards, candles, journals, soaps and local handmade gifts in the back, and take a look at the events lineup.
